My Thriller Idea

We began the process of presenting our ideas to the rest of the group for our Thriller film coursework. I tried to make my Thriller as simple and effective as possible knowing the limited amount of time we would have to shoot it and prepare for it.
In terms of locations i had two ideas in mind; a dark, forest edged road, and a girl's bedroom. I only wanted 3actors, two of which could be taken from our school and the props were minimal- 2 phones, a book/magazine and a bed.
My film idea was aimed at an audience between the ages of 12 and 18 because i thought it was an idea that younger people could relate more to and would find more frightening. (the idea of being alone is perhaps more appealing than frightening to some adults!)
I hadn't thought as far as to create a name for it but i was toying with the idea of something to do with ''The Unknown''...
I was thinking it could be created by an independent film company making short horror clips for something like Chanel 4, perhaps in a series of some sorts. Here is the power point i made to present my idea to the class:
Bella’s Thriller Movie Idea
:)

-A girl, aged 16 to 18 (someone from Hurtwood is fine) she is sitting alone somewhere, reading a book maybe.
•Her mobile phone rings, she picks it up, it is her best friend.
•Jolly, care-free music begins, with or without lyrics, and the screen splits in to two to show both girls having the conversation.
•The 2nd girl is walking down a dark road sheltered by trees, it is night time.
•The scene continues as normal, until the audience becomes the voyeuristic party when a sinister shadow is seen following the 2nd girl.

•Both girls are completely unaware of this of course, they are still having a happy conversation.
•The music, however, changes very slightly to incorporate the sinister atmosphere, a darker layer under the light tune.
•The shadow is gaining on the 2nd girl and the tension in the music builds drastically with almost all of the jolly music faded out now.
•The screen is still split in two allowing the audience to view both girls as they talk to each other.

•All of a sudden the 2nd screen goes fuzzy, with nothing but that grey static to be seen and heard.
•The music has stopped right at the dramatic crescendo all that can be heard, as the camera zooms in on the phone is that long with held beep, like the sound of a heart machine when the person has died.
•The first girl is in shock, as the sound of heavy, raspy breathing is heard from the phone.
•Scene cuts and black back drop for title to swim on to.
• END.
Dun dun dun duuuuuuun!

I also drew a rough storyboard of six frames to show my idea of how to split the screen in half and i think that was a good idea because it also showed the class my exact ideas for what i intended to create. However i was unable to scan it and put it up here.

In the end my idea wasn't chosen but i enjoyed trying to come up with new ideas for my thriller film anyway.
